Welcome to Berkshire Art.
Where you get to know the regional artists, .and links to selected art exhibitions and music performances in the area.
The Berkshires are a popular tourist attraction and vacation spot, with Tanglewood Music Center the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The Norman Rockwell Museum, Clark Art Institute, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA), make up the region's diverse selection of art museums.

The area is also home to numerous summer stock theatre festivals, such as the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, Shakespeare and Company, and plays host to America's first and longest-running dance festival, Jacob's Pillow.in Becket, MA.

We Plan on listing the arts in the berkshires and surrounds, artists galleries, museums, and selected music performances. You'll find complete listings of the area museums including Williams College Art Museum, Berkshire Museum, Mass Moca Modern Art Museum, Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute and others.

In the near future we plan to have listings of local artists who will have exhibits at their studios, and are open by appointment.

Vincent van Gogh Artists Quotes
I think these quotes are so revealing

The only time I feel alive is when I'm painting.

I am still far from being what I want to be, but with God's help I shall succeed.

I certainly hope to sell in the course of time, but I think I shall be able to influence it most effectively by working steadily on, and that at the present moment making desperate efforts to force the work I am doing now upon the public would be pretty useless.

My opinion is that the best thing would be to work on till art lovers feel drawn toward it of their own accord, instead of having to praise or to explain it.

I want to touch people with my art. I want them to say 'he feels deeply, he feels tenderly.'
